JC is doing well at the Carifta games…8 collegemen, 9 individual medals.
At the end of competition on Day 1 at the Carifta Games. 4 Griffins participated in 4 finals and all 4 came out with medals.
After posting a personal best of 4:56.28 Fabian Campbell finished 2nd in the boys U20 1500m behind his Jamaican Teammate Tyrease Reid, it was a repeat battle of the champs class 1100m finals between Ryiem Robertson and Oblique Seville, Robertson finished 2nd once more in a time of 10.34 seconds. J’Voughnn Blake could only manage 2nd in the boys U17 1500m after developing a quad strain while Tariq Dacres was 3rd in the boys U17 400m.
JC continues to blaze the blue flame through the Carifta games:
- Ricketts earned a gold medal in the triple jump
- Gold for Dacres in 4x400m relays
- Neil Matthew-Sutherland, silver in 110 hurdles
- Gold for Scott in the 4x100m relays
