Kingston, Jamaica – Jamaica College (JC) kicked off its pre-Sports Day festivities with an electrifying motorcade on January 20, 2025, setting the tone for an exciting lead-up to the grand event scheduled for March 4, 2025.
The motorcade, a highly anticipated tradition, united students, staff, and alumni in a vibrant school pride and unity display. The event, organized by the JC Student Council in collaboration with the JC Press Club, featured a convoy of decorated vehicles, energetic music, and enthusiastic participants clad in their respective house colors.

The motorcade traversed the school’s surrounding areas, drawing cheers from onlookers and amplifying the anticipation for Sports Day.
It was, is, and always be an exciting moment each year for Jamaica College.
Principal Wayne Robinson expressed his excitement, emphasizing the importance of such activities in fostering school spirit. “This motorcade is more than just a celebration; it’s about building camaraderie and energizing our students for one of the biggest events on the school’s calendar,” he said.

Students from all six houses—Cowper, Rogers, Musgrave, Taylor, Nuttall, and Sherlock—participated with high energy, proudly representing their teams. The motorcade also served as a rallying call for house supporters, as chants and cheers echoed throughout the journey.
JC has scheduled engaging activities leading to Sports Day, including cheerleading competitions, track and field training sessions, and team-building exercises. These events are designed to sustain enthusiasm and sharpen the competitive edge among students.

The pre-Sports Day motorcade not only reinforced Jamaica College’s strong school spirit but also set the stage for what promises to be a thrilling and competitive Sports Day 2025.
