President of W/A visits JC

Jamaica College Athletes had the privilege of meeting Lord Sebastian Coe, President of World Athletics, on Tuesday January 6, 2026.

Lord Sebastian Coe met with Head Coach Duane Johnson and the middle-distance runners, sharing words of encouragement and inspiration for the journey ahead.

British Sports Administrator, former politician, and retired track and field athlete. As a middle-distance runner, Coe won four Olympic medals, including 1500 meters gold medals at the Olympic Games in 1980 and 1984.

After a tour of Jamaica College’s facilities with Principal Robinson, The Honourable Mr Ian Forbes CD, JP, Custos Rotulorum – St. Andrew, Coach Johnson and other members of Jamaica College’s administrative team, he paused to share a few words in our podcast room.
