JC Carol Service

Organized by the Spiritual Enrichment Committee, the day was filled with fun, laughter and Christmas spirit.

Vice Principal called the room to order and introduced a surprise performance by students from Immaculate Conception High.

Our JC Collegemen were issued a challenge to come up and dance better than the ICHS young ladies for a prize ticket.

The JC Boys did well. As usual, we are good at everything.

The event was officially opened with prayers by Mr. Ossie Brown who is a long standing member of staff. He has been here 25 yrs.

This was followed by Mr. Daron Mitchell leading the audience in a series of Carols – singing loud and clear, all were happy to join.

Mr. D. Mitchell led us in more caroling before second-form student, Dominick Salmon (member of ISCF) read from the scripture passage Isaiah 9:6-7. Canon Allen was the Master of Ceremonies.

In his welcome address, the Principal charged the students to: share, consider giving a homeless person some of their Christmas dinner, think about others during this season. He reminded the school community that some of us have lost loved ones. We need to remember them.

The dramatization, by two of our teachers, of Luke 1:26-38 (in patois) was inspiring and entertaining at the same time.

The Modern Language students entertained us by singing Carols in other languages. First up were Ms. Reid’s Spanish students.
